Well, let’s let this cat out of the bag. ShoshinRyu of North Carolina FINALLY has its OWN DOJO!!! i.e. We will now have our very own space that is fully customized to our school and our students. Additionally we will have the ONLY fully functional floating spring/matted floor in Wilmington! Let me say that again…

If you’ve seen the throws/takedowns and grappling that we incorporate into our all inclusive system of Self Defense than you know that these floors will bring your ability to fully let out your practice without fear of landing (or landing others 🙂 ) during practice. The floor is also quite large at 25ft x 34ft with a solid wall area for drilling wall self defensive scenarios, i.e. getting slammed against a wall in a muggers situation and/or weaponized or multiple attacker scenario.
So, Where is it you ask? We’ve partnered up with Wilmingtons most successful and world renowned CrossFit Gym, CrossFit Wilmington at 2020 Capital Drive, Wilmington NC 28405. We are in their 17K sq facility that also houses Active Care Chiropractic and Alastar tds-c (security, consulting). It’s a 1200sq ft room upstairs that also has it’s own water fountains, storage and F/M restrooms directly across the hall.
We are fully installed and operational, you will feel that our Dojo is a sanctuary. A sanctuary that is there for YOU to create yourself in the building of character and physical ability.
