Our school charges fees for what it takes for students to train only. We do not charge for testing or additional information. We offer the best training facility and highest quality martial training in Wilmington for a fair price.
Personal Student Tuition: $100 per month (Full Time) / $75 per month (Part Time)
Personal lessons: $50 per hour. ($35 per hour if 5 purchased as packet)
Yearly association fees: $60 per year (due every March / registration)
Our system of rank evaluation is based on ability in the system, its core curriculum, and the student’s proof of capacity in these areas.
Shoshin training begins and ends with Sincerity.

Shoshin Ryu of NC does not apologize for its high standards – practitioners earn their rank and their skills. Nor does it apologize for its rates – it is what it takes to pursue excellence, what it takes to maintain the dojo and the tools to train (striking bags, practice knives/ guns, sticks, bo, jo, mogito, shinken, books, DVDs, etc). Shoshin Ryu of North Carolina’s funds go toward maintaining the dojo, its tools, and toward improving the skills of the dojo.
Since all instructors (including Kansho) are students of the Art, they too pay monthly dues. It is a communal effort to keep and maintain the dojo and its high standards. The focus is not on making money but developing great practitioners.
